Comments (2) Om upphovsrättsindustrin fortsätter att försöka övertala sig själv och omvärlden att deras upphovsrättsliga affärsmodell fortfarande kan fungera i en teknisk värld… så kommer de fortfarande misslyckas.
När Danger Mouse (han som släppte den omtalader/ökända/lysande The Grey Album) fick reda på att EMI inte kunde tänka sig att släppa hans senaste skiva Dark Night Of The Soul på grund av upphovsrättsliga konflikter väljer han att nu släppa en tom CD-r-skiva med omslag och uppmaningen att ladda ner musiken och bränna det på skivan. A spokesperson for the producer said: “Danger Mouse remains hugely proud of Dark Night of the Soul and hopes that people lucky enough to hear the music, by whatever means, are as excited by it as he is.”
He added that the album, which comes with a limited edition, “100+ page book” of David Lynch photographs inspired by the music “will now come with a blank, recordable CD-R”.

“All copies will be clearly labeled: ‘For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will,’ ” a spokesperson for Danger Mouse said. “Due to an ongoing dispute with EMI, Danger Mouse is unable to release the recorded music for Dark Night Of The Soul without fear of being sued by EMI.”
